David Mann is on the Red Letter Christians UK Board of Directors and has been in church leadership for 30 years. He was a journalist and worked in the communications industry before becoming Minister of Bonny Downs Baptist Church in East Ham, East London in 1996 www.bonnydownschurch.org. He set up a charity, and continues to Chair, Bonny Downs Community Association, www.bonnydowns.org which brought a derelict community centre and sportsground back into use. It now runs projects for children, youth, families, elders and a poverty-response programme. In 2008 David took a job managing another run-down community centre and grew a church from it, in London Dockland www.royaldockschurche16.com David helped set up a secondary school www.oasisacademysilvertown.org and also spent 11 years chairing Britannia Education Trust www.britanniaeducationtrust.com which runs the local primary school and set up another Primary school in 2019. David also chairs a community development charity Community Albums www.communityalbums.com using music and media. He has captained West Ham United’s over-50s walking football team and is Chair of Newham Cricket Club
