Michelle is passionate about community engagement and founded Sawiyan, a local charity developing projects around community cohesion in multi cultural contexts. Michelle has extensive leadership and project management experience working within the charity sector and a background in the Financial Service Industry. She studied at Formission college and holds a degree in theology with a research thesis on the cultural intelligence and ethical engagement in cross cultural relationships. Michelle is also part of Sanctuary an Asian styled Fresh Expression based in Sparkbrook and assists with speaking and leading services. Her interests are social action, spirituality, imagination and creativity and personal vocation. Michelle loves to travel and would like to speak fluent Arabic one day
