Living for Jesus and Justice

Our publishers DLT are still on track for a late May release with print & App versions. We are meeting to plan a series of launch events with music & poetry workshops…watch our social media for dates. Commendations coming in thick and fast for our upcoming book. Here’s a couple:

Steve Chalke, Oasis: Prayer isn’t a mechanism for escape; it’s a manifesto for engagement in a new world order. By focussing on the Beatitudes, this book reminds us that far from leaving us with a group of platitudes, Jesus issued a call to holy rebellion; to radical, prayerful practice. Living for Jesus & Justice gathers wisdom from those who have responded to that challenge. The result – a toolkit for contemplative activism. We’ll be using it in Oasis communities.

Jonny Baker (CMS) It’s so easy for the passion for justice to be channeled into activism whilst neglecting to nurture an inner life that fuels it. Mission spirituality is surely the rhythm of both. This new articulation of longings for a better world in prayers and liturgies along with the offering of memories of those who have gone before to light the road is a wonderful gift in that regard. It’s a great resource for individuals and communities seeking to join in God’s healing of all things, to breathe in before acting out.

Jonty Langley S(h)ibboleth MagazineI have needed this book for such a long time. We have needed it. A multivocal expression of faith and a radical yearning for justice you can bring into your small group, your church service or your personal devotions. A guide for devotions in the real world, and a book of hope for a better one, not in the hereafter but now.

Jonty rated the content so much he featured us in Issue 7 (see below)  of shibbolethmag.com
