Living for Jesus and Justice

Red Letter Christians UK is teaming up with the The Diocese of St Albans to produce this year’s #JesusandJustice Advent Challenge.

You’ll hear stories from community activists and thinkers from around the UK as we reflect on themes of loss, longing and hope that resonate with the scriptures and with this season of expectation. A longer reflection each Sunday will set up the theme and readings for the week:

Week 1 – Expectant: Longing for Shalom (Matthew 1, Luke 1)

Week 2 – Nativity at the Edges (Matthew 2:1-13, Luke 2)

Week 3 – Jesus is Other: The Refugee God (Matthew 3:13-21)

Week 4 – God with Us (John 1:1-18)

Sign up here to receive a daily reading and challenge via email from 1st December. The Diocese of St Albans are also producing an accompanying resource for children, Advent Faith at Home which is free on their site.

Red Letter Christians UK is a relational network for those who want to live for Jesus and Justice. Our focus is connecting and supporting Christian activists and community leaders across the UK. We aim to provide practical tools for developing advocacy and organising skills alongside deepening spiritual resilience. We seek out spiritual and tactical resonance, creating opportunities to pursue justice together. We aim to amplify prophetic voices from the margins who bring spiritual depth, experience and a healthy dose of challenge to national conversations.
